Dead Sea Bath Salts

The Dead Sea is the lowest exposed point on the Earth's surface at an elevation of approximately 400 meters below sea level. Throughout history the Dead Sea has been renowned for its unique qualities - since well before the time of Christ.

The waters of the Dead Sea have a unique composition having a total salt concentration that is over 9 times that of regular salt water from the oceans.

To this chemical composition is attributed the healing and soothing qualities of the Dead Sea Salt. These qualities were highly esteemed in ancient times, making the Dead Sea a popular location even into modern times.

Dead Sea Salts:

Dead Sea Bath Salts are obtained by the evaporation and crystillization of Dead Sea Salts from the brines (waters of the Dead Sea). This actually enriches some of the therapuetic values of the minerals found in Dead Sea Salts.

Dead Sea Salts vary from light grey or brown to pure white in colour, depending on how it is processed. Unrefined Dead Sea Bath Salts tend to be more grey in colour while highly refined salts will be white.

The properties of Dead Sea Salt are well known: it is said to be relaxing for the body and soothing to skin disorders. Some studies available online have shown Dead Sea Bath Salts to be useful in combating skin disorders.

Using Dead Sea Bath Salt:

The use of Dead Sea Salt in bath salts is becoming increasingly popular. This is partly due to the fact that Dead Sea Salt is from an exotic locale and because it contains a high proportion of minerals and trace elements aside from sodium chloride.

Dead Sea Salt is a popular and relatively inexpensive salt used when making bath salts. Learn more about the proper use of Dead Sea Salts (and possible substitutes) read the eBook 'The Comprehensive Guide to Handcrafted Bath Salts'. Click here to read more about this eBook.

"I woke up early this morning to continue reading the eBook and I have to thank you again for such comprehensive reading material. You are an excellent teacher.

While ordering on-line I had a question concerning the FDC colorants and referred to the book. The color palette was at my fingertips and info on the exact colors to order. It saved me time and money.

Haven't made a recipe yet but am looking forward to getting my shipment next week and beginning again. I gave up because of clumping and bad results from recipes on the net that ended up in a mess and totally blue skin!"

- Vicki, California

"The book was full of information that I never thought of when I made bath salts years ago. I've been making soap for several years now and am known in my community as the 'soap lady'. At the last craft show someone asked if I could make bath salts for the next show.

I too had bad experiences with them getting rock hard or going rancid and didn't feel comfortable about selling them. I'm going to try again and see if they sell. Thanks so much for compiling all this information."

- Mary, Indiana

"Just wanted to let you know that I have gone through most of the material provided in the ebook. Fantastic information! You have done a wonderful job. The ebook is easy to get around in and so detailed too! My hat is off to you.

And I can't tell you how excited I am about getting started. I am in the process of creating my list of products I need to purchase and then it's off to the suppliers page, for the best price!

I found the bonuses you sent a "must". Thank you for preparing such outstanding information. The tips page is something all your customers should read, I think. It should take all the guess work out of the process and make the creating of bath salts a BLAST."

- Sandy, Oklahoma

"I am truly enjoying your e-book. It is well organized and user friendly. I have not gone through the whole book, but the pages I have read have been very informative.

One new thing I learned was about Natrasorb and how to use it with bath salts. I am going to recommend this book to other bath salt makers."

- Cassandra, Maryland
